Area Suggestions

Post by Ambrose on Sat Sep 03, 2016 10:47 pm

Here you can suggest a area, though I ask it be in south east Canada, or north east America, and no farther west than the great lakes, No farther north than the middle of Quebec, and no farther south than New York.
Not sure if your area would fit? Simply reply with a picture saying what state/city its from, and we might use it, But if we don't use it, it either already exists, has something very similar to it, or doesn't fit.

Park ditch in Maine. Ditch provides water, but isn't really clean. Shelter can be under park benches or under small bridges that go over the ditch. Some humans aren't excited to see any strays or wild canines, but others are happy to feed any hungry canine.

Animals here are squirrels, rabbits, chipmunks, skunks, raccoons, foxes, porcupines, ring-necked pheasants, and the occasional lynx, black bear, and moose (though those three normally stay away from the busy park )

Make sure you have read the rules under "Guests/Important" as for we (admins/mods) will delete any posts that don't fit. Thank you! Though i have to add, moose do not care about people and often actually just stop right in front of a car and if the car even scratches them they attack it, a busy park is nothing, so i well modify the area a slight bit

Otter Cliffs is a spot located in Arcadia National Park, which is in Maine. The park is a popular tourist site, so strays could pick a few scraps off of humans. Some humans, however, do not appreciate a stray dog hanging around. Animals include Peregrine Falcons, Owls, Red-Tailed Hawks, White-Tailed Deer, Coyotes, Foxes, Otters, Beavers, Various Mice and Voles, Rabbits, Lynx, and several other animals. Shelter includes small caves, under ledges, and pretty much anywhere that is dry and safe. The temperatures drop at night, and its quite colder in the winter months. Some humans pose as a threat, though most enjoy nature and wildlife.

Deep in The Forest area, there is a den. Though it shelters from the weather, unless other canines are there to help keep you warm, it gets very cold when temperatures drop. Other shelters around the area include much smaller caves, unless you can find a dry spot under the thick trees. There are also many small streams. There a little to no humans here, and its rich in wildlife. Animals include Black Bear, Box Turtles, Lynx, Coyotes, Fishers, Gray Fox,Owls,Moose, Mountain Lions, Opossum, Peacock(rare), Porcupines, Raccoons, Ravens, Skunks, White-Tailed Deer, Wild Turkey, Red-Tailed Hawk, and a few other animals. Though the cave and forest offer prey, it also attracts other predators, making it a dangerous area. Hunters are also known to trek out to the cave and camp around there, if not directly in the cave itself.
